Bensley Accepts Grant From Chester Rotary

CHESTER, Virginia – June 27, 2007 – The Bensley-Bermuda Volunteer Rescue Squad today accepted a grant from the Chester Rotary to support the Squad's continuing effort to improve emergency medical services (EMS) to the citizens and visitors of Chesterfield County.

Representing the Squad to the Chester Rotary was Vice President Larry Phillips.

"The Chester Rotary shares our mission of service to the community," said Phillips. "This grant helps us with system improvement and is gratefully accepted. Without donations from the business community, organizations like ours would not be able to provide the level of care we do."

System improvement, a term used by EMS agencies, describes a continuous review and critical analysis of equipment, technology and standards designed to improve patient care. As a leader in volunteer EMS in Virginia, BBVRS is a strong advocate for aggressive system improvement.
